MSD conducts project
and program meetings in the community on a regular basis. In fact,
MSD has conducted over 150 such meetings in neighborhoods
throughout the city and county this year. These meetings provide
our customers with an opportunity to voice opinions and offer
input as our projects move forward.
As we begin a new era
in local government, MSD will be looking to the new city
administration and metro council members for direction of future
priorities. As important, will be the input of our customers. For
that reason, MSD will conduct six regional town meetings at the
following locations:
- Central Government
Center, 7201 Outer Loop November 13
- Southwest Government
Center, 7219 Dixie Highway November 19
- DuPont Manual High
School, 120 West Lee Street November 21
- Chenoweth
Elementary, 8622 Brownsboro Road December 4
- East Government
Center, 200 Juneau Drive December 9
- Shawnee High School,
4018 West Market Street December 12
All meeting are
scheduled to begin at 7:00 P.M.
They will focus on
MSD’s current activities and future requirements under state and
federal regulations. These town meetings will allow our customers
a period of public comment recorded and that will be presented to
our new local government. Customer comments and ideas will help
set MSD priorities for the next 5 – 10 years.
