The Louisville and Jefferson County Information Consortium (LOJIC) and
Louisville Gas and Electric Company (LG&E) have entered into an
agreement to exchange digital map data as an important step toward
providing our community with more consistent geographic information.

The Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD)
has contracted with GRW Aerial Surveys, Inc. (Louisville and Lexington,
KY) to install and measure approximately 100 new survey control
monuments throughout Jefferson County.

As part of MSD's
overall program to reduce or eliminate inflow and infiltration
(I&I) of clear water from entering the sewer system, the agency
employs local students, on a part time basis, to identify sources of
inflow and infiltration.

central portion of Louisville and Jefferson County at approximately
12:30 PM.

February 16, MSD will erect street closures in the floodwall at 10th
Street, north of Main Street, and at 27th Street near McAlpine Locks and
Dam.

On Saturday, February 10, 2001, the Louisville Chapter of Kentucky
Society of Professional Engineers will sponsor the annual MATHCOUNTS
Competition.

Beginning Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at 9:00 A.M., MSD will narrow to
one eastbound lane and one westbound lane of Shelbyville Road between
Breckenridge Lane and St. Matthews Avenue. Traffic will be reduced to
one lane in each direction for approximately two weeks.
