Louisville Metro experienced its worst flooding since the Flood
of 1997. Up to 10 inches of rain fell in many neighborhoods in
our community.
Although major improvements
to our drainage system and the construction of large flood storage
basins protected thousands of homes from flooding this weekend, MSD
still received over 1,000 customer calls related to flooding and sewer
backups.
In an effort to assist our
customers in the aftermath of this severe event, MSD is offering
financial assistance up to $500 per customer account.

channels are flowing out of their banks and will have very
little time to recede before the next line of storms move into
the area.
