January 13, 2003 Board Meeting Summary

The Oath of Office was administered to Martin D. Hoehler, newly appointed Board member, H. J. Schardein, Executive Director, and Derek Guthrie, Engineering Director, prior to the start of the Board meeting.

The December 9, 2002 MSD Board Meeting Minutes were approved.

Mr. Schardein reported on the Calendar of Events.

Mr. Schardein removed condemnation proceedings for 812 Tucker Station Road and 4514 Cane Run Road from the agenda because they had been settled.

The following were approved:

• Allston Avenue (1800-2100 blocks) Drainage Improvements, Construction Order 1007-034/Precision Contracting
• Wallie Ann Court (2100 block) Drainage Improvements,
  Construction Order 1007-026/PACE Contracting

MILL CREEK WATERSHED AREA TEAM

• Brinson Drive Drainage Improvements, Construction Order 1007-003/Precision Contracting

WET WEATHER/WATER QUALITY TEAM

• Beargrass Creek Solids & Floatables Control at CSOs #109 and 113, Construction Order 1007-0019/MTN Construction
• Mill Creek Interceptor Emergency Repairs Contract, Change Orders 1-2/MAC Construction & Excavating

Mr. Schardein thanked the Board members for giving him the opportunity to serve as Executive Director, and stated he's had a great deal of support from many dedicated employees at MSD over the past few months.
