2003 Board Meeting
Summary
The minutes of the January 27,
2003 Board meeting were approved as written.
Mr. Schardein reported on the
following:
- Calendar of Events
- Meeting at Fairdale High
School regarding a cooperative project between Fairdale High School,
Councilman Ron Weston, MSD, and Flynn Brothers Contracting.
- Black Achievers Banquet held
Saturday, February 8, 2003, at the Commonwealth Convention Center. Mr.
Schardein recognized MSD's employees Sheila Wright, Human Resources
Coordinator, Cheryl Dale, Administrative Services Supervisor, and Sam
Bell, Chemist, who were this years' adult achievers. Mr. Schardein also
recognized MSD employees James Hunt, Physical Assets Director, Loyiso
Melisizwe, Beargrass Creek Area Team Leader, Sheila Lusco, Executive
Secretary, and Rick Watkins, Special Assistant to the Director, who
serve on the Black Achiever's Steering Committee.
Ms. Doutrick reported that she
attended a meeting at the City, and, while she was there, Councilman Ron
Weston mentioned to her how pleased he was with the drainage program and
with the cooperation from MSD and Mr. Schardein. Also she attended the
Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce dinner and the mayor of Jeffersontown
had good things to say and complimented MSD on its Annual Report.
