To provide our customers reliable sewer and drainage services, MSD sometimes needs help. We don't just look for the best talent available; we seek companies and individuals that reflect our community.

Through DiverseWorks MSD is building partnerships with minority- and woman-owned businesses, creating opportunities for them to thrive while increasing our supplier base. Since 1985 MSD has certified minority- and woman-owned businesses, inviting them to bid on contracts to supply materials and services we need to serve our community and help it grow.

Now about 30 percent of MSD activities performed by outside contractors are completed by businesses owned by minorities and woman. Our staff and major contractors work closely with minority- and woman-owned businesses, offering the guidance and opportunities they need to succeed.

Our commitment to reflecting the diversity of the community we serve is a key component of MSD's philosophy and business strategies. Our program has been honored by awards and recognized in the media for its accomplishments.
