Project Description
This project consists of the construction of a gravity interceptor to extend along Brush Run from Floyds Fork Interceptor Section 2. The conceptual design of the project involves construction of approximately 11,800 LF of 18- and 21-inch diameter gravity sewers.
Need
This project provides sanitary sewer service to the Brush Run Basin. It is expected to serve a present population of about 800 and a saturation population of about 17,000. The project would improve the overall water quality of the streams and groundwater in the service area. The existing MSD Polo Fields Wastewater Treatment Plant will be taken out of service, resulting in savings in operation and maintenance.
Other Information This project is part of the Floyds Fork Action Plan proposed to improve sanitary sewer service in the eastern part of Jefferson County known as the Floyds Fork Watershed, a 120-square mile area named for the stream that runs through it. |
