Project Description

 

This project will provide for the construction of a multi-port diffuser extension to the outfall at the Morris Forman Wastewater Treatment Plant (MFWTP) resulting in a dilution of WTP effluent of 19:1 in the Ohio River.

 

 

Need

 

The installation of a multi-port diffuser is a cost effective way to ensure adequate initial dilution of treated effluent in the Ohio River and to ensure compliance with an effluent acute toxicity limit that is specified in the KPDES Permit issued for the MFWTP.
