Wingspan: 10.5-11.5 inches Behavior: Solitary or in pairs during breeding season.

Habitat: edge of forest, bushes, shrubs, thickets, undergrowth, tropical lowland Population: Uncommon
Migration: Migratory Feeders: Seeds and grain
Appearance: rich blue feathers, black wings and tail, 2 chestnut wing bars, black face around base of bill, thick silver-grey bill
