Wingspan: 8-9 inches Behavior: Solitary or in pairs during mating season.
Weight: 0.5 ounces Breeding: Monogamous
Habitat: Grassland areas with scrub, bushes, and open forests. Population: Fairly common to common.
Migration: Migratory Feeders: Small seeds and grains.
Appearance: Blue-purple sheen to head, deep-colored bright blue overall. Blue edging to blackish wingsand tail. Dark blue to black lores
Interesting Facts: Chases with other birds for fun.
