Length: 5.5 to 6.5 inches Song: series of note phrases followed by trilled warble, Jitt, jitt, jitt, jitt ,jiaa-jiiaa-jiiaaaaa.Calls vary among subspecies.
Wingspan: 10.10 to7.5 inches Behavior: In pairs during breeding season.Gregarious in small to large flocks most of the year Forages.
Weight: 1.4 ounces Breeding: The males fly over to attract females.
Habitat: Open forest; more space than trees, tundra forest, semiopen areas. Population: common in conifers and mixed forest.
Migration: Nonmigratory Feeders: sunflower seeds.
Appearance:
Interesting Facts: They only eat sunflower seeds
