Wingspan: 13-15 Behavior: In pairs during breeding season
Weight: 2.3 Breeding: Monogamous. Pairs.
Habitat: freshwater, marshes, swamps, and open forest Population: fairly common in wet coniferous woodlands
Migration: Migratory Feeders: insects, caterpillars, crustaceans, small fish, salamanders, snails, grains, seeds, and fruits
Appearance: yellow eyes, blackish bill, black overalls, black wings, and a tail with a bluish sheen
Interesting Facts: Rusty Blackbirds are rare host to cowbird parasitism and have 4-5 light blue-green eggs, with brown and gray splotches; oval,1.0 to 0.75 inches.
